Nahtanha Davey – Chief Executive Officer
Nahtanha joined Brain Injury SA in February 2015 following senior government roles in remote communities in Queensland and the not-for-profit sector in regional Victoria.
With a strong interest in the impact of Acquired Brain Injury, Nahtanha is passionate about community and particularly for survivors of ABI, from whom she receives enormous inspiration.
Nahtanha is an accomplished executive with a proven record of resolving complex organisational challenges, leading change management, and improving governance.
Prior to joining Brain Injury SA, Nahtanha enjoyed more than 15 years in senior leadership roles in the community health and families sectors, including as General Manager within the Mallee District Aboriginal Services and head of Corporate Services for both the Torres Strait Hospital and Health Service.
Nahtanha’s contribution to community health has extended to numerous committees, including the Law Reform, Drugs and Crime Prevention Committee, Mallee Family Violence Committee and the Child Protection Alliance within Victoria.
Nahtanha is a firm believer in the value of building and maintaining strong business partnerships and works together with like-minded, smart organisations to help Brain Injury SA deliver services to the ABI community.
Her key goals for Brain Injury SA include strategic reform, building effective governance and developing advocacy strategy.
Nahtanha holds an MBA, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is the proud mum of two beautiful daughters.
