Lauren SpearLauren Spear

Lauren Spear graduated from Flinders University with a Double Degree in Early Childhood Education and Disability Studies in 2015, after completing her high school years at St Mary’s College in 2009. She has worked as a special education teacher at Aspect Treetop School for the past 4 years, specialising in working with children on the Autism Spectrum.

Unfortunately, Lauren suffered a workplace injury when she fell assisting a child down from a piece of playground equipment. Since this accident, Lauren has been working to rehabilitate herself back into society and learn how to live with a permanent traumatic brain injury.

Lauren also volunteers two hours per week with the YMCA, assisting with programs supporting young individuals with disabilities.
