Liz Forsyth – Chief Executive Officer
Liz joined Brain Injury SA in October 2018, coming from a background in leadership roles within the community and disability service sectors.
Commencing her career as an Occupational Therapist, Liz brings extensive experience in both rehabilitation and management through positions held in England, New Zealand and Australia in the not for profit and commercial sectors. Always committed to supporting people achieve their aspirations through pushing boundaries, and challenging the status quo. For thirteen years she ran an innovative employment service for people living with disabilities, and subsequently held CEO roles in community and women’s service sectors, developing services and campaigning on issues that matter, both as a leader and as a volunteer.
Liz joins BISA with appreciation of the value of developing specialist and quality services to meet the needs of people living with acquired brain injury, and commitment to strengthening the accessibility and contribution the organization can make to the rehabilitation and support of its clients and their families. She recognizes the importance of collaboration across the service sector at times of considerable change to service access and provision with the roll out of the NDIS and she looks forward to building new and growing older relationships the organization has with other service providers.
Liz holds a post graduate diploma of social science in rehabilitation and an MBA.
Edward Weaver
Director Therapy Services, Rewire
Ed is passionate about assisting individuals to overcome adversity and live fulfilling lives. As Manager Rewire Development, he is responsible for leading Brain Injury SA’s Rewire program. Ed is a registered psychologist and has worked in the ABI field since 2012. In this time he has helped many people work through the significant challenges a brain injury can bring. Ed has a keen interest in neuroplasticity, and a strong understanding of the link between brain functioning and behaviour. He is continually inspired by what can be achieved when therapists, people with ABI, and family members all work together.
Lisa Minervini
Manager Community Programs, Advocacy, NDIS Appeals, SoConnect, NDIS, Community Access Support Service, Rewire
As Manager of Community Programs, Lisa provides high-level support and leadership to several of our program teams.
She is also a key member of our leadership team.
Lisa is a qualified social worker with more than 20 years of experience in the disability sector, working with people with cognitive and developmental disabilities and their families.
Lisa is passionate about social justice issues and safeguarding vulnerable members of the community, and is particularly interested in the interface between people with cognitive disabilities and the criminal justice system.
Lisa enjoys reading, films, photography and spending time with family.
