Management

Liz Forsyth – CEOLiz Forsyth – Chief Executive Officer

Liz joined Brain Injury SA in October 2018, coming from a background in leadership roles within the community and disability service sectors.

Commencing her career as an Occupational Therapist, Liz brings extensive experience in both rehabilitation and management through positions held in England, New Zealand and Australia in the not for profit and commercial sectors. Always committed to supporting people achieve their aspirations through pushing boundaries, and challenging the status quo. For thirteen years she ran an innovative employment service for people living with disabilities, and subsequently held CEO roles in community and women’s service sectors, developing services and campaigning on issues that matter, both as a leader and as a volunteer.

Liz joins BISA with appreciation of the value of developing specialist and quality services to meet the needs of people living with acquired brain injury, and commitment to strengthening the accessibility and contribution the organization can make to the rehabilitation and support of its clients and their families. She recognizes the importance of collaboration across the service sector at times of considerable change to service access and provision with the roll out of the NDIS and she looks forward to building new and growing older relationships the organization has with other service providers.

Liz holds a post graduate diploma of social science in rehabilitation and an MBA.
