Brain Injury SA provides opportunity for people living with ABI to make more informed decisions and be better empowered thanks to funding from the National Disability Advocacy Program.
We provide a state-wide Advocacy Program and through our Advocate, we are able to speak up for people living with ABI, and promote your individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making.
The program provides individual advocacy, family advocacy, self-advocacy and systemic advocacy for people with living with ABI.
We ensure through our effective and efficient services that disability advocacy can enable people with disability, particularly those living with ABI, help safeguard their rights and overcome barriers that impact on their ability to participate in the community.
Many people living with disability need help and support in relation to criminal and family law matters, Disability Support Pension and Carer’s Payment applications, help with accessing compensation, as well as developing Wills – our Advocate provides that support.
