Families and carers are required to cope with at times significant change, which in turn can challenge relationships, requires strategies to manage and can be demanding to cope with.
Brain Injury SA looks to support families and carers in any way we can, alongside the services we may be providing to a loved one or family member. Supporting families and carers may take place as individual or group focused assistance, and is still evolving within BISA. We recognise our specialist expertise in the management of brain injury may assist you differently from help that you might obtain elsewhere and we are able to assist you find the support you might be looking for. Our Rewire team is always able to chat with you more about information or assistance your require.
Coming Support for Families and Carers
Currently we are exploring how we can assist families and carers stay mentally well, in collaboration with the SAHMRI evidenced based “BeWell” program. If you have any interest in what this might involve do discuss with us. More information will be found on this website in coming months.
