Having a strong support system to help adjust and cope to living life with a brain injury is incredibly important. Connecting and reintegrating with the community is also important. If you live outside of Metropolitan Adelaide, we do not want you to miss out on this support.
To bridge the gap for people living in regional South Australia, we offer online access to our Reconnect Transition Program. We can provide you membership of a supportive online group to connect with others living with brain injury at no cost. This provides an opportunity for people to share and explore their experiences, gain further knowledge about brain injury, work through individual challenges and explore hopes for the future.
Before you join the group, you will have your first meeting online one on one with a registered Psychologist who will run the group. This is to ensure you feel comfortable with connecting with an online group, know a bit more about what to expect, a chance to ask any questions and to have a familiar face before the first online session. How often and when the group will meet online will be tailored according the needs and wishes of the participants.
The date of the next group can be obtained from Brain Injury SA.
You can lodge your interest in joining the next group by emailing us. Please state your interest in the next VRTP group, leave your name and contact number or email address and someone will get back to you.
We look forward to hearing from you.
