A range of different groups to support people with acquired brain injury (ABI) in their journey of understanding, acceptance and wellbeing.
This Service is for:
Managing the impacts of brain injury can take time. Getting information and help from others with similar experiences or specialist therapeutic knowledge can be helpful.
Brain Injury SA (BISA) has different groups to help you with understanding and acceptance. Some groups have a set number of sessions and others give a social platform for ongoing support.
Reconnect Transition Program and BISE Group are jointly funded by the Lifetime Support Authority and BISA.
They are:
RTP – Reconnect Transition Program
A 10-week program of education and support.
BISE Group – Brain Injury Support and Education Group
Monthly session that brings people together. Sharing tips and experiences for managing challenges associated with ABI and improving wellbeing.
Technology / Newsletter Group
Developing technology skills plus publishing a client-led newsletter.
Balance Group
Group format, working towards improving balance, mobility and reducing falls risk.
Bowling Group
Social and therapeutic bowling group, facilitated by an Occupational Therapist.
