Carer and Family Support Group
April 4, 2017 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
On the first Tuesday of every month we host a welcoming support group for the carers and families of people living with ABI.
Hosted by our Senior Psychologist Ed Weaver, we present a different topic each month – all designed to help you better support people living with ABI and increase your own wellbeing.
All about ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)
Come and learn about the theory behind ACT, as well as practical strategies to live a more meaningful and mindful life – while accepting the negative emotions that are part of being human. Whether you have never heard of ACT, or you have practiced Mindfulness for decades, come along for an interactive discussion around what ACT can offer the families and carers of people living with acquired brain injury.
Community Learning and Life Skills events take place at Brain Injury SA offices at 70 Light Square in the city and all sessions include morning tea.
Numbers are strictly limited, and registrations essential, to ensure we keep an intimate group that will encourage group discussion and interaction. There is no cost to attend.
Morning tea will be provided.
