Professor Charlie Teo
Professor Teo is an internationally renowned neurosurgeon who has offered surgery to patients from all around the world who have been given no hope. He has been instrumental in developing keyhole minimally invasive techniques, and runs a fellowship program that has trained world leading figures in neurosurgery. Professor Teo will share insights and messages of hope from his incredible career.
Professor Jennie Ponsford
Jennie Ponsford is Professor of Neuropsychology at Monash University and Director of the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre in Melbourne. She has spent 40 years engaged in clinical work and research with individuals with brain injury.
Hosted by ABC presenter Emma Rebellato, the event will also include:
- A panel discussion with two families whose lives have been impacted by brain injury
- Announcing the Brain Injury SA Awards for Most Inspiring Individual and Service Excellence
- Release of a video highlighting the powerful stories of four people with lived experience of ABI
