Individualised support is provided by Brain Injury SA (BISA) as part of core support services.
This Service is for:
A support worker is identified to assist you in the community or at home to do the things you want or need to do.
Our support workers are part of our Community Services team, but often liaise closely with our Rewire Therapy team to assist you achieve your goals. The services they provide may be an extension of things you are working on in therapy, and wish to practice in the community or other aspects of your life.
Support workers may also support you engaging in the things you love to do for leisure, always looking to maximise your independence in these activities, but are there to guide and support where needed. Sometimes this involves learning new ways to do things and our support workers may consult with the Rewire Therapy team on problems that arise and ways to overcome them.
Whilst our support workers may provide personal assistance in certain areas, we are not a 24 hour or 7-day week service.
Our individualised support is there to help you embrace life after brain injury in ways that are meaningful to you.
