Physiotherapists work with you to improve your physical abilities and achieve your physical goals.
They can help you recover from injury or illness, reduce pain and stiffness, increase mobility and prevent further injury. Each physiotherapy program is individually tailored to suit your specific abilities and work towards your specific goals.

Physiotherapy at Brain Injury SA (BISA)
Physiotherapy at BISA works as part of an interdisciplinary team to assist participants achieve their goals.
Using a range of mainstream and specialist equipment, our Physiotherapists ensure programs are driven by the goals of the participant, and tailored to address challenges in movement, strength and tolerance.
As brain injury and neurological specialists, we recognise the particular needs the person has in managing the impact of brain injury in all its complexity. We ensure the participant is both challenged and safe in how physiotherapy is provided at a level tailored for them and assist the person continue to work on their goals outside the therapy sessions.
Where possible and appropriate we involve carers and family members with the person’s physiotherapy session, supporting them in provision of safe assistance when needed in transfers and mobility.
Due to the extensive level of experience of our physiotherapists, we are able to offer a wide range of approaches in the therapies provided, including addressing pain management and equipment prescription. We actively engage with Research based activities, to further enhance what we are offering for the best outcomes with the participant.
